Learn the basics of making fine metal objects, using PMC!    What is PMC?

PMC is a pure metal (Silver, Gold, or Bronze) material in clay form.  It is water based and can be freely modeled like clay.  It is made of finely powdered pure metal, water and organic binding agents (binders).  After it is shaped, dried, and heated at a high temperature for 30 min., the binders burn off, leaving only pure metal, retaining its modeled shape.

You will create this delicate lacy heart pendant in the class, beginning with the creation of the "sacrificial" heart form made of cork clay, and ending with the finished piece, made of fine (99.9%) bronze.

Class taught by Christine Korbmacher, a Certified Precious Metal Clay Instructor.  Christine's metal-working experience began in her native Germany at age 12, with a simple copper soldered necklace, and a hammered spoon.  Many goldsmithing classes followed, until she discovered Metal Clay in 2006.  Since then, her "Spielraum" (creative room) is always with her.

Class Cancellation Policy

There are no refunds and no transfers for no-shows or for cancellations made less than three (3) days in advance of your class.  Registration is considered a final sale three (3) days prior to the date of your class.  This is because many of our instructors travel a distance, or have busy schedules, and expect to be compensated for no-shows and late cancellations.  We would be happy to transfer your fee to another class or refund the fee if you cancel more than three days in advance of the scheduled class.  If you are unable to attend at the last minute, you are welcome to send someone in your place.  If Bucks County Beads cancels a class for any reason, you will receive a prompt full refund.
